Welcome to BL Metrics

Running a BrickLink store isn't easy. Between managing inventory and packing orders, your success also depends on having the right parts and selling them at the right price. Too high, and buyers skip. Too low, and your profits disappear.

BL Metrics gives you the data, the tools and the automation you need to price smarter, source better, and grow your store with confidence.

What is BL Metrics

BL Metrics is an analytics and automation platform built specifically for BrickLink store owners. It pulls together pricing data, sales history, inventory analysis and competitor insights so you can stop guessing and start making decisions based on real numbers.

Whether you sell a hundred parts a month or run a full-time store, BL Metrics gives you a clearer picture of the market, of your own inventory, and of where the next opportunity is hiding.

The three pillars

Everything in BL Metrics revolves around three core ideas:

1. Market data

Detailed, regional pricing for every part, minifigure and set on BrickLink. Instead of relying on global averages that don't reflect your local market, you get prices, sales volumes and selling speeds that match the region you actually sell in. See the Regional pricing guide for the full picture.

2. Your store, your data

Connect your BrickLink store and BL Metrics turns your inventory, orders and customers into actionable insights: which parts move fast, which lots are stuck, what your customers buy, where they come from, and how your store compares to the rest of the market.

3. Smart tools

Pricing formulas, smart pricing, store arbitrage, restock recommendations, set recommendations and Pick A Brick analysis. These tools take the heavy lifting out of the day-to-day work of running a store and surface opportunities you would never find by hand.

How we collect data

Our pricing data comes from BrickLink's public price guide. Every day we collect the price guide for parts, minifigures and sets across the marketplace and store it on our side. From those snapshots we aggregate and analyze the data to compute the average prices, sales volumes, selling speeds and trends you see in BL Metrics, broken down by region, condition and item type.

Because we record the data ourselves over time, we can show you things the BrickLink price guide alone cannot, like historical price trends, regional breakdowns, and comparisons between current and past activity.

We do not use your connected store's API to collect pricing data. Your API connection is used only to sync your own inventory, your own orders and your own store metrics so you can analyze them. Your data is never shared with other users, never used to train models, and never used for anything other than the features you use directly.

Catalog data (part names, colors, set contents, minifigure compositions) comes from BrickLink's public catalog, and Pick A Brick availability is collected directly from the LEGO website.

Plans and access

BL Metrics is available on a few different plans. Catalog and pricing tools are available on every paid plan, while a handful of advanced features (such as the Restock Checker and automated Store Arbitrage) are reserved for the Business plan.

You can compare plans and manage your subscription from the Billing page, and the Billing guide explains how to upgrade, downgrade or cancel.

BL Metrics is intentionally capped at 1% of the Bricklink stores trading in each country, so the data and tools stay a real competitive edge against the sellers you actually compete with. If your country is sold out, you can join its waiting list and we'll let you know as soon as a seat opens up there.

Quick search

At the top of every page you'll find a quick search bar. Use it to jump directly to a specific part, minifigure or set when you already know its number.

Quick search works with BrickLink numbers (set, part or minifigure numbers) and LEGO element IDs. Just start typing the number and matching suggestions will appear. Click a result to open it.

Quick search does not match item names. If you want to find an item by name, or to browse and filter the catalog, use the Parts, Minifigures or Sets pages instead.

Glossary

A few terms you'll see across BL Metrics:

STR (Sell-Through Rate)
How fast an item sells on BrickLink. STR is the share of the recent market that has actually been sold, calculated as units sold in the last 6 months ÷ (units sold in the last 6 months + units currently for sale).

For example, if 50 units of a part have been sold in the last 6 months and 50 are currently listed for sale, the STR is 50%: demand and supply are balanced. If 90 units have sold but only 10 are listed, the STR is 90%: a hot seller where stock is being absorbed fast. If only 10 have sold and 90 are sitting on shelves, the STR is 10%: a slow mover with plenty of supply relative to demand.
Partout
The total market value of a set if you sold every piece individually.

Formula: for a given region and condition, Partout = Σ (average part price × quantity) + Σ (average minifigure price × quantity), using the average prices from the last 6 months of BrickLink sales.

What's included: regular parts, extra (spare) parts that ship in the box, and minifigures sold as whole minifigures (not split into torso, head, legs, accessories). The box, instructions and counterparts are not part of the calculation.
Smart partout
Your store's own Partout, computed with your Smart Prices instead of the market averages. It tells you what parting out a set is actually worth at your prices, not at everyone else's.

Formula: Smart partout = Σ (smart part price × quantity) + Σ (smart minifigure price × quantity) across every part and minifigure in the set.

What's included: same scope as Partout (regular parts, extra parts, minifigures as whole minifigures). No box, instructions or counterparts. Smart partout only covers items for which BL Metrics has computed a Smart Price for you, see the Smart pricing guide.
ROI (Return on Investment)
A realistic earnings estimate for parting out a set, weighted by how fast each item actually sells. ROI is more conservative than Partout: a part nobody buys cannot contribute its full theoretical value, so we cap its contribution by how much of the current supply gets absorbed by sales.

How to read it next to Partout: if the ROI is much smaller than the Partout value, it means most of the set's value is locked in parts that sell slowly, so you would need a long time to actually cash in. A high ROI close to the Partout value means most of the parts sell quickly, so the theoretical value is realistically achievable.

What's included: same scope as Partout (regular parts, extra parts, minifigures as whole minifigures). No box, instructions or counterparts.
Partout / ROI / Smart Partout multiplier
Each of the Partout, ROI and Smart Partout values is shown next to a multiplier that compares it to the set's retail price: multiplier = value ÷ set retail price.

A multiplier of 1× means the value is roughly equal to what you paid for the set. A multiplier of 2× means it's worth twice as much, and so on. It's an easy way to spot sets that are worth buying to part out, regardless of their absolute price.
PAB (Pick A Brick)
LEGO's official service to buy individual bricks. BL Metrics tracks PAB availability and prices to help you find parts to source.
Region
A market zone (World, USA, Europe, UK, Canada, Australia) used to compute regional prices. See the Regional pricing guide.
New vs Used
Pricing and selling speed data is tracked separately for new and used items. You can set a default in your account settings or switch on the fly in any table.
Lot
A single inventory entry on BrickLink: one part, one color, one condition, one price. A store with 5,000 lots may have hundreds of thousands of individual parts.
BSX
BrickStore XML, the file format used to import and export inventory between BrickLink, BrickStore and other tools. BL Metrics can read and produce BSX files.
