How it started

Hi! I’m Julien — I’m from Belgium, and like many great stories, mine started with a LEGO set I received for Christmas.

That gift reignited something in me, and before I knew it, I was deep into the LEGO world: buying bulk lots, sorting thousands of pieces, rebuilding sets, and spending way too much time (and money!) hunting for missing parts on BrickLink.

It was an eye-opening experience. I discovered not just a fun hobby, but an incredible community and a fascinating ecosystem around BrickLink and LEGO in general.

As a developer and entrepreneur, I couldn’t resist the urge to build something. I originally planned to open a BrickLink store myself — but space at home is tight, and it’s just not possible for now. So I asked myself: How can I still be part of this community and maybe contribute something useful?

That’s how BL Metrics was born.

By day, I build analytics tools for the music industry — and now, I’m bringing that same data-driven mindset to BrickLink. BL Metrics is built by a LEGO lover, for LEGO lovers who want to take their stores to the next level.

The goal is simple: give sellers clear, actionable data to improve their pricing, part-out strategy, and overall decision-making.

After a few months of work, the first version launched in May 2025, and I’m just getting started. I hope BL Metrics becomes a valuable tool for sellers of all sizes — and I’m excited to keep improving it with your feedback.

Thanks for being here,
Julien
